Circular Changing Room

Date. 2005

San Mateo Milpas Altas

In 2005 Lamina POP’s first-ever construction, the Circular Changing Room was built. Pablo constructed this small building to act as a toilet and changing room (fully equipped with a shower), at an artisanal paper factory on the outskirts of Antigua Guatemala.

This building presented Pablo with his first opportunity to experiment with the different shapes that could be achieved with the Lamina POP system. Hence the unusual and unique design of the building.  At over 15 years old, this building has survived almost unchanged (as illustrated in the photographs from 2019), highlighting the durability of Lamina POP constructions.
